I can’t believe another month has gone by and it’s time for another stitcha-long round up! Here we go!
I stayed pretty close to my original plan with my stained glass inspired colors. I needed a bright blue and a leafy green so I added DMC 995 and DMC 705.
This was a very stitch intensive design, which I didn’t anticipate when picking out the pattern. The large sections of satin stitch went fairly quickly. It was the red outlining that slowed me to a crawl. I almost wish I’d kept it more simple, but I’m still loving how it turned out – so bold and very reminiscent of stained glass.
As you can see in VXBluefish‘s lovely stitching, the design is beautiful with the combination of chain and back stitching. I love the leaves especially – filling them in added just the right amount of focus and drama.
That’s it for this month’s stitch-along. I hope you’re ready for March.. which will feature an original pattern and is coming up fast. Newsletter subscribers check your inbox on the 1st of the month!
